Des eases players into first grade, for the more established players he sticks with them until hes convinced that their best isnt good enough for the Sea Eagles for what they're paid

Gosiewski is definitely one of those players - gave him the chance to see what he was capable of.

Edit: as for Harper I thought he was pretty capable as a scrapper in the first half of 2021 but his form has definitely dropped and I don't know how much longer Des can persevere with him given Koula was definitely better both in defense and attack.

I suspect he will be dropped to reserve grade for now, a lack of structure and communication with surrounding players is one thing but he was just roadkill out there and seems to be much worse for all parties to leave him in first grade

Cust is in the top 5-10 players in the ESL try assist wise. We shouldn't have let him go. He added WAY more spark from dummy half than Croker. I just don't get it.

Saddler would literally be our best NSW Cup forward right now.

Des should have convinced Brian Kelly to stay as well, rather than opting for the lazy play of releasing him. He'd be our best centre.

Lastly, Des allowing AFB to leave. We should have tried everything to accommodate him and make things work, but we went the lazy route and got nothing in return, and our forwards have been plonkers since, barring the ocassional decent performance against the almost rans of the competition.

Probably where he's best suited and is utilizing his abilities to the maximum. Funny how that works, huh. Let your friend know. That also doesn't detract from when he WAS playing dummy half here, he offered WAY more than our current #9
