Journey Man
Like I said in the game day thread, the Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles.....haunting Cronulla and its fans since 1973.

Brendan Elliot 7/10 - Back at fullback and back doing what he's done best this year. Scored a nice try to ice the game.

Jorge Taufua 7/10 - Well done to Jorge who bounced back from a couple of poor games. He made a number of good runs and this week his hands didn't let us down.

Moses Suli 9/10 - Massive game from Moses running for 177 metres and good hands to hold on to DCE's pass for a try. Showed good defence too.

Brad Parker 7/10 - Another strong game from Scorpio in both attack where he was rewarded with a try, and in defence.

Reuben Garrick 6/10 - Didn't see a lot of the ball, but his runs were good when he did get it. Goal kicking was also good with 4/5.

Dylan Walker 7/10 - The running 5/8 came out to play on Saturday night. Manly looks a lot better when DCE does the play making and Walker does the running.

Daly Cherry-Evans 8/10 - DCE controlled the game with his kicking and passing. Served up 2 try assists, 2 line break assists and a goal line drop-out. Very solid in defence too making 20 tackles without a miss.

Addin Fonua-Blake 9/10 - AFB was awesome all over the park. Running, defence, scoring tries. Best game I've seen him play.

Api Koroisau 7/10 - Been a bit down in recent weeks but bounced back strongly against the Sharks right when we needed him to. Scored a clever try.

Sean Keppie 7/10 - This kid is so far proving he has what it takes to be a regular first grade player. Deserves to and should keep his spot in the 17 even with Marty's return this week.

Corey Waddell 6/10 - Solid if unspectacular game from Waddell.

Jack Gosiewski 7/10 - Starting to look like he enjoys this starting side caper. He might not be in the Beaver class (who is??), but Jetski does seem to have a nose for the tryline.

Jake Trbojevic 8/10 - With no Kapow, Jake seemed to hit up more than be first receiver and both he and we looked better for it. As usual, tackled anything in an opposition jumper that moved.

Manase Fainu 6/10 - Didn't do anything wrong, but with DCE and Walker in control and the ball getting out wider some more, Fainu wasn't called upon to much more than pass and defend.

Haumole Olakau'atu 6/10 - Not a bad first grade debut even though he didn't get a lot of game time. Will likely drop out of the 17 with Taupau's return from suspension.

Lloyd Perrett 6/10 - Lloyd is proving to be an able back up and isn't looking out of place in first grade right now.

Toafofoa Sipley 6/10 - A welcome return from the big guy. Didn't do the spectacular, just the hard stuff when called upon.

The Elimination Final on Saturday night was a continuation of what we have seen all season. Manly written off before the game had even started.....Manly come out and win. As usual, and especially under the circumstances with no Turbo, no Thommo, no Siro, no Kapow, no Paseka, no one gave Manly any hope of winning. It seemed the Sharks might have believed that too because they were shell shocked.

I said during the week that Manly needed to get off to a good start and get on the scoreboard early so we could control the pace of the game....and low and behold that is exactly what we did and we had an 18-0 lead before the Sharks even knew what was happening.

That was our first NRL Finals win since we beat Souffs to get into the 2013 Grand Final. That last win was on 27 September 2013. Now lets beat Souffs again to progress to the Prelim where we can get some measure of revenge on the Chooks for that GF loss.

We can do it. We've beaten Souffs already this year and they are coming off that spanking by the Chooks.

And hey....we're doing it without a decent outdoor furniture setting @;)

Close enough for me.

Another good one, cant argue with that v8.
Thought Waddell had one of his more involved, better games than he has solid sums it up nicely. AFB was a Beast, but glad you gave him a 9, keep him hungry for the elusive 10 performance !!

With our forward performance the Burgi's are shaking
