Hi everyone, in the last 2 years we have lost some influential and great players some choose to and others moved on or retired.
What the plan for next season
* We have a decent forward pack now do we further recruit here or blood young knight
* The backs are huge experience to be lost soon is of greater worry.
* Does walker stay at 6 next season this will define who we recruit in next few months

Well we know that Manly's plan involves shunning the local juniors and importing players. Just like the Dogs, who used to have strong lower grades until Despicable and Cleal took the same strategy westward.
Apparently, no local junior is ever as good as a player from another location.

Recruiting wise we are going to need a 5/8, walker should not and will not remain in the 6 jersey.
Walker will go to centre as there is no good centres off contract this year. Our options at 6 include Norman who I would not hesiatate to spend the bank on he is just what we need, if we cant snatch Norman, Blake green would be a good buy he would foil DCE Nicley and is a good organiser.

For our pack, well it's fine IMO maybe missing one more good prop and as you mentioned blooding knight would fill that hole of the front row plus we are soon to have willis Meehan who is easily one of the best young forwards in the game. If we do opt to go to the market for a forward we would probably be only looking at Tamou who wants big money which would stop us recruiting a good 5/8 which is key so the pack is fine. We should also re sign Symonds he is playing out of his skin and has a terrific combo with chez.

Experience like you said also is a big loss with Lyon now gone and Stewart probably next you'd expect players like cherry, myles, Skivvi all to step us next season.

If I was bozo I'd be trying to create a team like this for next season (Yes another team list)

1.Stewart(vc)/Trbojevic
2.Tafua
3.Walker
4.Matai
5.Trbojevic/Rona
6.Norman/Green/Hynes
7.Cherry-Evans(c)
8.Knight
9.Parcell
10.Myles(vc)
11.Symonds
12.Taupau
13.Trbojevic(c)

14.Brown
15.Fonua-Blake
16.Lawrence/Meehan
17.Vave

Backups:
Fullback-
Wing-Wright/Lavaka
Centre-Ramien/Parker
Halves-Hynes/John/Wright/Cust
Hooker-Koroisau/Godinet/Pratt
Prop-Lussick/Starling/Armstrong/Meehan
Second row-Bainbridge/Buhrer/Walker/Kelly
Lock-Leary/Cox

And if snake retires move Tom to fullback and sign Rona or Feldt. And also like to see the club throw a lifeline to Moga he is a good player and could be crafted into a good back. We also really need to find a good goal kicker, Norman fits that bill but if we don't sign him we have to find another kicker. Testing times for baz but looking forward to seeing who joins us for the next year

Walker is an international strike center. For me he must play there next year as he is playing out of position and his assets are a waste at the moment. Get him one on one not distributing the ball.
Our front row stocks will be fine for 2017 with what we already have. I believe we should sign one big name back rower and a specialist 5/8 that can feed our starved backline.

The club would be stupid not to sign a specialist 5/8 for next season, we can already see the affect walker is having on Taupau he has barley got the ball this year and walker should be out in the centres where he belongs. He is not another Milford he has no precious experience like Milford. Milford grew up in the halves played juniors with Canberra in the halves walker will not be Milford

Green I would say no - good in Melbourne system. Norman yes but he will cost some.
Super league another option not sure of quality there bar Carney and Albert Kelly
