Our experince in semi's will play a big role.

Ok, so prepare for a silly question....

How does finals experience really help? Is it a coaching thing or a player thing or both?

Bad news Last year Gus predicted a Bulldogs Dragons Final and both were knocked out in straight sets. We are gone loool

Chooks made the top 4 in 2008, the Warriors knocked them out in a brutal game in week 2 before we knocked the Warriors out in week 3

Speaking of that Roosters/Warriors game, the Ruben Wiki run that knocked out Soliola will long live in the memory

Yes what a collision, memorable indeed.

It is a player thing, all about the intensity and ability to handle the pressure, intensity and speed of the game

Best way to put it is that you often hear from our 2007-8 players how in 2007 Grand Final week flew by with all the extra media etc but in 2008 they knew what to expect and it was a nice relaxing week

It's a bit of both. The coach needs to make sure that the team is mentally prepared. Having the experience on how to prepare the team is a big advantage. I'm sure you have heard that you need to loose a grand final to win one, it's all about the experience and how you prepare.
Players with semi final's experience is a big advantage. Semi final footy is much like state of origin. The speed of the game is faster and more physical.
