Faster than Tom “Turbo” Trbjoevic, with a club-quickest 4.9 seconds over 40 metres, Manly’s rugby union recruit Peter Schuster has one goal at this weekend’s NRL Auckland Nines.

Pretty exciting prospect if he is faster than tom turbo! Would have to Be up there as one of the fastest in the nrl?!

Scored a good try yesterday... looked pretty fast and strong. A more than handy back up, and likely starter if anyone in the backline doesn't fire up. Didn't notice his defence though, so can't comment there.

Thanks Freagle I haven't had a chance to dig up the manly games to watch yet. Sounds like we did better than everyone was expecting

Yes we did - were very unlucky not to beat the Eels, and also very unlucky not to win our quarter final. Definitely not the flashiest team, but plenty of power and grit, with Brian Kelly looking quite the potential star, and Cameron Cullen looking like a potential 'pocket rocket' out of the halves/hooker as well. What's probably most interesting is the size of the team...with Sirro Jnr, AFB, FRankie Winterstein, Shaun Lane and Marty Tapau on the field, we looked like we could monster a lot of sides. BJ Lawrence was his usual 100% committed, strong self too. All in all, we could easily have made the semi finals with a touch of luck.

I saw the replay of the panthers dropping the ball forward into our player in a tackle then scoring so I would say we should have been in the semi finals.

At least the refereeing is still at NRL standard

I notice Schuster hasn't been named in either Blacktown team- not in NSW Cup nor Ron Massey sides.

Is he still with the club or is he just out injured ? @Smokin Joe @smithy
