Paseka needs 2025 to be his Breaker

A Monster in size.
Powerful beast of a man, but his boy with potential days are over.
Personally I reckon he has improved, but there's still much improvement to be had.
His size is often limited by a lack of energy and thrust in his charges and we have a young lower grade player in Simione Laifai, who offers Payne Haas like size and agility who runs harder and is still a kid....my point being I feel Paseka has improved to a degree, but lacks that "Aggressive' presence he can offer and has been blessed with.
The coming season is time to stand up and claim a place as 1 of the games most feared forwards and I believe he has the potential to be just that.
Hoping Paseka can live up to his size and talent, as we keep screaming out about being dominated in big games in the middle and rightly so and Paseka needs to get a sprinkle of Oka's killer instinct and if he can, just maybe it can go a long way towards further improvement in 2025

Have to take into account that Tent at one stage was being spoken of as a possible S O O bolter in 24 so form was right up there for a good part of the season .
Actually thought that he has been going quite well in general for a number of seasons now .
Maybe a bit of upside to come but along with Haumole, pretty much the forward mainstays for some time now and providing some real overall impact , apart from Jake"s still quite valuable efforts defensively and Bully "s recent good form .
No doubt a bit easier to aim up and pull off some big hits from an edge but Paseka defence this season at least seems to have gone up a notch or two .
Just needs a bit more consistent support [ Tent ] and on a regular basis from the other prop options

I guess we live in hope, but I wont be holding my breath. Paseka is that sort of forward, because of his size and strength, he'll always tease you with his potential but it's like looking for fools gold at the end of a rainbow, the closer you get to the rainbow the further away it is.

He was our best prop by a mile this year and the most consistent.
It wasn't even close.
I would be more concerned getting more out of Jake,Ben,Toff and Aloiai.
Tent is the least of our problems.
I agree Paseka was our best prop, but that's not saying much and I feel his ceiling is way higher, so that is a concern.
If you think he has forfilled his talent, that's just personal opinion and your entitled too it - I feel he can be amongst the most dominant big men in the the game and currently is a bit off that tag.
Let's weigh up his competition.....
Lodge after the latest injuries was ordinary.
Aloiai looked like a Qld cup fillin.
Toff hardly got a go and had injury concerns.
Ben is a backrower.
Jake has a go, but simply not the tools as a lock forward in the modern game, so don't expect his impact to change if he stays at 13 in 2025.

I think best to stop assessing Taniela based on expected or potential performance and start assessing on actual performance. Best for all our collective health and frustration. Based on actual performance he is pretty good and would definitely be in my 17 each week. He is just not that leader of the pack that we were all hoping for.....and that we desperately need in the middle. Hopefully we will have that individual on board b4 25 kicks off.

It is all opinions Maxta, did not say he has reached his ceiling.
The coaching staff and club obviously believe he is doing a good job and I agree with them.
My point was not that the others are props but are underperforming.
My opinion is that I would not swap him for any prop out there.
Not sure I would say that Laiafi is Haas like either, far from it.

Only 3 props in the NRL average more metres per game than Paseka, that being AFB, Tapine and Barnett.

I often think Paseka is underrated on here because he doesnt have a bit of sh*thousery in his game.

If he fronted up to a few players, had a bit of bluster about him many I think would be falling over themselves for him.

In my view he was fantastic in 24, still has another gear which is exciting, but fantastic still.

Exactly, pretty obvious that ever since he hit top grade opposition players do not goad him.
In fact they're probably coached specifically not to goad him.
Some here want to see him angry, but there's no need to be angry if no-one's ever mean to you.
Anyway who would go out of their way to be mean to him? League players aren't necessarily known for being clever, but they aren't dumb either!

I think he’s pretty average. He can have a strong game but I believe we’ve seen the best of what he can offer. He’s a first grader and he is one of our better forwards in a pretty mediocre pack. I rate our middle rotation as one of the poorest in the competition.

It’s probably an unpopular opinion and I like Paseka, so it’s not a personal dig on him…I just think he is a decent first grader and nothing more or less.

Also, nowadays what's the point? It's just a case of who can grab the other blokes collar harder.

He’s in the Jason King Phil Daley bracket I reckon in terms of Manly props

He's a number 2 prop - he's shown by now he doesn't have it in him to be a true alpha leader.

Thats ok - we just need to find the alpha.

Given the current roster i would start with Jake and Aloiai at prop, and have Paseka off the bench for impact.

Hi SER8 , I hope all is Great in your nest
In regards to No one wants to be mean to you on the field ...

You do not exchange pleasantries in forward exchanges . You are meant to get over the top of the opposition and devour them physically and psychologically. Now this is real mean stuff
And if you do that you have a Greater chance of winning the game

Dominating packs have a dominant Enforcer who leads the way and Intimidates the opposition and Inspires his pack mates

What does Enforcer really mean ?
It Means Enforcers are players with a mean Attitude who Impose their Will with brutal force and Intimidation and getting the upper hand over their opponents

A pack with out this Attitude is a pack that will never rise to the top

Lets Be Brutal and Mean
I want our pack to be the Biggest Bastards in the NRL
