Yeah.
And we also know about all their off-field issues too...
And we know what the specialists say about their injury prognosis..
And we know about how they fit in with the squad..
And we know what the future coaching plans are...
And how each player fits in with this plan
This is why we can't understand some of the decisions about recruitment and retention. We know it all... so ... obviously the club must know nothing!!!
Justifiable comments SaeEagleRock8. But are you saying we have no idea about whether a player suits us or not?
It seems to me that they are selling off those players who they know other teams will grab. Those that arent wanted but still on contract, we end up keeping. Hardly seems good business when you're looking at the long term future of the club.
We've all seen the dirty underwear hung on several players Manly are buying or have at present. No evidence Parcell has dirty underwear.
Parcell was injured for a period but there are no suggestions of a long term problem there and he is still in his early 20s. Lots of players were injured this year who are older but are still retained.
Parcell's performance on the field as seen by most on this forum, was good in a losing team. Most see him as superior to Api and even Barrett preferred him and his effective role for the team, when he wasnt injured
In all it suggests to me that selling Parcell off would only be beneficial for salary cap reasons and because he would be easy to fob off to another NRL club. So do you really think that is good business, like with Buhrer, Gutherson? And he fills a key position, a role we want the best player we can get to fill.
Reminds me of when the State Government sold off the lotteries for short term gain, by with crazy long term consequences. Seems Manly's recruitment may be operating on the same principle in some regards. Ignore long term. Solve short term issues only.
