There's a story on the back page of the courier mail up here about the Panthers targeting bronco's players.

Apparently Penrith are sitting pretty with one million in their salary cap to splurge on and they are currently looking at 2 of Hodges, Tate or Civinocieva.

I remember them being in the running for Lyon last year and I'd say they are probably trying their best to lure O'Donnell or O'Meley as well.

Can anyone see them fitting another Million under there salary cap though? Do their top 25 players only take $3M?

They have a lot of local juniors and have let go of a lot of players since their premiership but not really bought anyone of note that I can think of.

It wouldn't surpirse me if they had that kind of money.. i don't think their money needs to be spent up front though.. they need outside backs.. hodges won't leave brisbane and tate i'd say will go to union.
