Seibold doesn’t make the tackles , neither does he kick 40/20’s , and when they are down 18-0 after 15 minutes he’s not on the forks to motivate them.

Which is why last week they came back in the second half , after being motivated by the coach , not the Captain who no longer gives a ****.

The players need to show they are still playing for the captain and coach today. The team on paper is good enough to win if everyone plays to their ability and the coach has a game plan. Win this one and the rumblings of discontent will be silenced.

Sorry but people implying that we will struggle to win any more games this year is IMO irrationally pessimistic.

I could cop "we'll struggle" or "we'll miss the 8" but barely winning any more games is irrational.

You talk of repeated failures but our worst season under Barrett when we finished 15th we had 7 wins which is over double our current 3.

Yep I agree with that being an exaggeration. But I don’t think people are necessarily meaning we will literally not win another game. I think they’re more commenting on the fact that we will likely miss the finals and the season will fizzle out like it has in many recent years. Well that’s at least my feeling on it. And it’s a little depressing

Going to this game... Actually have some faith that we can get this one done.

Seibold said that this week was the first time in a month that they have been able to train 13 vs 13. Absolutely crazy. Given our style of footy, I think drill and preparation is our Achilles heel. If we don't get enough time to prepare, we are stuffed.

Manly 13+

This is the most mobile Manly pack I can remember for a long time. Hopefully Navale has a good one, and gets to keep his spot. Jazz has been playing well by Jazz standards, even at hooker. He's back in his preferred position, so I'll be interested to see if he can possibly bump Jake into the prop rotation.

As much as I'd like to put someone else at 13 for ball-playing effectiveness, I think this is the best balanced back we can achieve relatively soon. For the finals run we'll have Paseka back too.

While injuries may end up forcing his hand, the loss of Paseka is proving to be a massive blow, and Seibold being a thinking coach (as everyone here agrees, lol) makes me wonder whether he'll try to reconfigure our forwards approach to take account of his loss
Lot depends on how Bull goes as a starter tonight. Could get ugly for him ,or he might brain it! More mobile props seem to be the fashion nowadays.

If Bull can hack it I'd love to see Jake and Bull as our starting duo. Leave one or two of the big bodies to come off the bench, along with Navale (also assuming he's ready)(fingers crossed).

For the finals run we'll have Paseka back too.

Optimistic to think he'd be ready and fit enough. But I have nothing against optimism (today!)
