Bob Woolmer, the Pakistan coach, has died in a Kingston hospital after being found unconscious in his hotel room hours after his side's elimination from the World Cup. He was 58.

Jamaican police launched a murder inquiry into the death of Pakistan cricket coach Bob Woolmer at the World Cup, saying he was strangled.

Police said the death on Sunday was "due to asphyxiation by manual strangulation".

POlice officials have said that a suspect was heard yelling Woolmers name not long before the Pakistan coach was killed.
