Pack lacks grunt big time

The strange thing is this....

According to the match stats on the NRL Match Centre our forwards actually ran for 501 metres compared to the Eels pack which ran for 475 (this was the starting packs).

For a comparison:

Starling - 63
Ballin - 11
Lawrence - 120
Watmough - 106
Symonds - 81
Buhrer - 120

Mannah - 92
de Gois - 55
Jun. Paulo - 77
Edwards - 126
Moeroa - 77
Joe. Paulo - 48

The bench though got killed. Horo and Hasson only ran for 25 and 26 metres respectively. We seriously need a fourth prop in the rotation.

What do we think of Tyson Andrews?

I haven't been looking very closely but I think the last two times he started from the bench he didn't even touch the ball.

From what i have seen from Tyson in the NSW cup , he has a good work rate but he does not bend the line The one one thats bends the line is LAUAKI but he dosent have a high work rate .

We do need impact of the bench . I hope we give LAUAKI a go .

Re Lauaki and workrate... George Rose didn't have a high workrate by any stretch either but his 5 or 6 carries in each spell always bent the line back and quite often our best footy used to be in his 10 minutes cameos.

And lets be fair dinkum...how much work are our bench props doing anyway - I reckon we will have to throw in the 1 big bopper that we have & see if we can shift some momentum.

It's not panic stations & game set match all over by any means - we CAN still be a factor in the semi's and probably will be still I suspect- BUT a change or 2 seems to be needed.

Time for a few tough calls to be made ???
