After upgrading my subscription to 'Sportsnet world' and only seeing 3 games on for the next few weeks, I emailed the NRL and asked what's the g...o...
They responded quickly and said "Rogers" who have the rights are only putting on 3 games per week - which is shyte and down from their 'every game live and in HD from previous years.'
It may be the same in other countries so this is just a heads up.
The nrl's answer is to join watchnrl.com
So just in case others are having the problem, that was the answer I got. Obviously I am talking about legal viewing.

Regarding Roger Sports Net, they will be broadcasting 3 NRL matches per round in Canada. (wankers).
It is important to note, the NRL has entered a new international rights agreement with Fox Sports for 2018-22.
The result of this deal is the new Watch NRL service, which is a dedicated NRL service offering every game of the 2018 NRL Premiership season, Finals Series and Grand Final live, all three SoO matches, Tests played on local soil.
NRL fans overseas had previously struggled with differing broadcast arrangements in each country, making it difficult for those travelling abroad to know where to access NRL content (a bit of b/s here because not every o/s fan travels to 100 countries a season *cough*)
– Watch NRL is a more robust offering relative to previous streaming options, and importantly, is consistently available in every country outside Australia, New Zealand & Pacific Islands as a one-stop shop for everything NRL.
