An obvious problem and an interesting point of discussion. The obvious question is WHY?
It has nothing to do with conditioning because we are full of running at the 80th minute.
The short turnarounds are no excuse because again we are full of running at the 80th minute.
We are coming out of the sheds half asleep...the buck stops at Barrett. Now, I am liking some things I am seeing for Baz, but he is a very calm character. I could be wrong, but I think he simply needs to fire the boys up a bit before they run out. It could be that simple? Maybe not, but the lack of intensity and line speed in the early exchanges is alarming.
What these players produced in the second half in defence with the shooting out of the line and desperation is what the Eels are showing for 80 minutes...we seem to only show it when the game is on the line. I want the boys to come out desperate and angry and maintain the rage for the duration of the match!
