PENRITH’S top four hopes have been dealt a major blow with playmaker James Maloney sidelined until the NRL finals with a knee injury.

Roosters have lost star forward Jared Waerea-Hargreaves on the eve of finals.

The international prop broke his ribs on Friday night and is facing up to a month in the casualty ward, which could rule him out of the first week of finals

Widdop may yet need surgery on the joint, but the club is hopeful he can make a return from the injury for the final weeks of the season. They have not put a timeframe on his recovery

Souths are actually good to watch. The development of some of their players is a testament to Seibold. Players Luke Sutton who I've never rated are playing really well. The Burgai are back, etc. Everyone looks like they know what they're doing and are playing to their strengths - great to see.
