I read a comment on FB this afternoon where someone said that refs today are no worse than there has ever been in the 110 history of the game in Australia, they are just more scrutinised.

More scrutinised yes, but no worse? If you had the choice of Mick Stone and Bill Harrigan refereeing a game or Sutton and Klein (the Origin refs).....who would you pick?

I wouldn't even put Klein or Sutton in charge of a NSW Cup game let alone an NRL game. Hell, I'd even have Grasshopper Gomersall before either of them.

I’ve never heard the great Dalai referred to as a boil before, but it seems about right to me.
