Like every rational, right-thinking human being, I despise the Melbourne Storm and all that they stand for, but yes, that was some sort of effort by Coates. Huge slice of luck going the Storm's way with that charge down though.

I sometimes wonder if it would be fairer if they didn't award a fresh set to the attacking team once the ball has been charged down like that. The Man of Feathers loves a rule change. Might be worth a look…

I don’t know why they went for a charge down. 40 metres out it would most likely have missed. The Warriors get the ball and wind down the clock.
