Seems a lifetime ago when Kevvie was basically about to be sacked at any minute.
Lodge was in a New York state of mind. How screwed is our game?
Serial thug Matt Lodge takes out Ponga with a high shot and gone for the game. Knights totally disrupted and no punishment for the Rorter$.
Even worse impacts on a one man team.
Agree fully Bozo, I used to hate them same as the cheats but there young guys are going so well and I actually like watching them, especially last nightThe Young talented Brocos have come of age and Their coach has them playing with a lot of confidence
Unlike us they hold on to the ball and play discipline footyAgree fully Bozo, I used to hate them same as the cheats but there young guys are going so well and I actually like watching them, especially last night
They also have forwards with aggression and backs with a bit of flair in their gameUnlike us they hold on to the ball and play discipline footy
Thats the difference
They also have a captain halfback that knows how to game manage. They also have forwards with aggression and backs with a bit of flair in their game
Totally schooled our captain in every department. They also have a captain halfback that knows how to game manage.
I have to confess, I’m in the same basket. I never would’ve thought I’d have a soft spot for them, but as you said, their young blokes are playing so well. And Reynolds is the conductor. It’s the sort of football that is bringing the crowds back.Agree fully Bozo, I used to hate them same as the cheats but there young guys are going so well and I actually like watching them, especially last night
But but but..he’s the amazing Chez, who has been grossly misreprepresented by haters. He dragged Qld over the line and is tired after that Herculean effort. Let him relax a little while his club needs him and put in a dismal losing effortTotally schooled our captain in every department.
Sssshhh, don’t imply the QLD captain was at any fault for that $hit show tonight.Totally schooled our captain in every department.
I thought the same because it was Lodge involved but replays showed it was likely Ponga's head bouncing off the ground after falling that concussed him.Ponga copped a high shot, was ruled out of the match with concussion thus limiting Newcastle's attack by 90%, yet Lodge stayed on the field. I understand that the high shot was little more than a slap across the chops but it did take away Newcastle's main hope of a win.
You can bet the NRL will start tweaking rules to punish the perpetrator to try to make similar incidents less impactful for the team that loses a player due to the head knock.
