Other games [Round 12, 2021]

This week’s games just further highlight how big the gap is between the mid table teams and the top teams.

We’re the only team on current form that could mix it with the Panthers/Storm/Eels

That Warriors missed field goal to win a game was the worst miss from in front of the posts since Cliffy Lyons in the 1997 grand final. :wasntme:

The Warriors halfback came up short and cost them the game. His kicking game generally was poor. He definately has a distance problem with his kicks. On the other hand Holmes was good. He is silky with his skills that bloke. Watch him go in origin. He's a match winner.

on an on day

Why,why, why, would you throw that ball with a minute to go, and your team has played better than anyone expected. It’ll be a carve-up now. DWZ, absolute goose.

This game reminds me of 80s and 90s Kangaroo Tour games where the Pommy club side would compete for 50 or so minutes before the superior fitness of the Roos told and they powered away to an easy win.

The Dogs today are the Pommy club side. They've competed well against Penrith, but that's as good as its gotten for them and now the scoreboard is ticking over with some regularity for the Panthers. The Dogs might snare a late try if they're lucky or Penrith switch off, but that's about it.

Dogs haven't looked like scoring

Panfers have taken this one a bit easy I think , they could have put 100 on them if they were in 5th not 1st or 3rd ( gear).

Coach of the year. Twent.

Attacking genius Coach is on top of the world with his record breaking beagles scoring in the 79th minute against 12 players.

Give Twent an extension LOL

Told ya, they might snare a lucky try if Penrith switch off.

Penrith switched off 10 minutes ago and still scored twice in that time. It took Cleary being given an early minute by daddy and Leota getting binned for the Dogs to score.

In 4 of their 12 games, the Dogs have scored less than 10 points, and in a 5th game they only scored 10 points.

In 3 of those 4 less than 10 point games, the Dogs didn't score at all.

Pretty much what I expected with this game with a 20-30 point win and the dogs scoring a consolation try.
I thought the Panthers would just turn up and just plod along doing the bare minimum.

Trent will talk up the Panthers and how great the team he built are going and still playing in they way he coached them.
