didn't watch the game.... was there any instances of this new penalty for touching players in the air on attack thingy I still don't quiet get but it's going to be crap for the game?

Dogs got penalised twice. Once for a tackle on Gutherson in the first half, once on Ferguson in the second half. The refs actually got both calls right as far as the rule goes. In fact, overall I actually thought the refs had a better game than any of the players.

I also noticed that whenever there was any sort of attacking bomb, the player under it always jumped for the ball even if the nearest chaser was 5 metres away. It seems that over the off-season they have all pretty much been trained to do that in case it brings a penalty with this new rule. Neither Gutherson or Ferguson actually needed to jump to catch the ball, but by jumping with chasers coming through hard they attracted a penalty which allowed the Worms to kick downfield and got them out of any trouble (each was within about 2-3 metres of the line). Depending on whether or not games go ahead after this weekend I think we're going to see just about every winger and fullback jumping for bombs in an effort to hopefully get a penalty.

The Broncos were impressive with the ball. Provided they can get their share of possession they will score points because their forwards are just so big and strong.
However, I think they will wilt in defence against a well-drilled side like Easts, Storm and Manly.
I think the 'Boys need to re-evaluate Holmes as a fullback. He has a lot to learn about positional play and tackling. These days fullback is probably the most difficult position on the field.

Dunno about that whilstever Haas, Fifita and Pangai are fit I reckon they’ll be a huge threat.

All the needed was a half back who could press the advantage home on tackle 5 and it would appear Croft has given them that!!

Henry Pernicious continues to be the NRL's biggest blow-hard, whistling up eight straight penalties against the Worriers and sending off their five-eight for 10 minutes for repeated infringements.
Half time: penalties 8-4, or one penalty every 3.3 minutes.

Yeah, no issues with his service out of dummy half when the forwards are doing their jobs. Picked his moments beautifully and really looked good. Good on him!
