Darius Boyd is garbage. Definitely the most overrated player since Braith Anister. If Thurston is unavailable unfortunately I think DCE is a certainty. Super coach Kevin Walters needs to somehow come up with a new forward pack. Nate Myles will be dropped if QLD are serious.

None of the above, that's not the Queensland way!

Only changes will be Thurston in Milford out.

All depending on injury / suspension of course.

It's the first time he has done more than run broken field against average opposition. He had an outstanding game tonight but that's the first time he has put his body on the line that I can recall.

OK, now i feel physically ill. I joked during the game after Gus blurted out that this was Pearce's "best origin game". I figured it was just a bit of commentary blah blah blah to create hype. Well, knock me over, I just read the players' ratings for the game on the League Live app and sure enough, The nufty who wrote it just stole Gus' quote and said it was "the best origin game" by Pearce and gave him a rating of 8. To put it in perspective, Woods was given 7. FMD!

Well, knock me over, I just read the players' ratings for the game on the League Live app and sure enough, The nufty who wrote it just stole Gus' quote and said it was "the best origin game" by Pearce and gave him a rating of 8. To put it in perspective, Woods was given 7. FMD!

I don't love Pearce mate. But what else do you want him to do.

His Kicking game was outstanding. Defencively was solid and had a few good runs.

Woods was outplayed 100% by Fafita tonight and even Klemmer so I don't think he's a good comparison.

But we're all allowed out opinions 🙂

What a difference a couple of players makes for qld

All through the amazing run by qld the actual games have often been pretty close - take away GI and Thurston and you can see the difference it makes

Yeah, i respect you saw it differently (and you obviously weren't alone).

I have different expectations of a kicking game. In my opinion, Pearce just bombed away ad nauseam to a more than capable winger under the high ball. There was the occasional kick down field which found grass (which was good). And the only time he was called upon to improvise a kick, he gently lobbed it on the full in goal to kill our attack and give Qld a get out of jail free card with 7 tackles. I just expect more from a half steering the ship (cue the master, JT).

His defence was solid I agree, though I challenge the "few good runs" claim. I just expect so much more from a pivotal position in the team, despite the dross we have suffered for the last decade. IMO, Maloney played all over him that game and we suffered from not giving Maloney more ball control in that first half.

PS: I do agree that Fafita and Klemmer were better, as reflected in their ratings, however, Woods may have been third best forward, nevertheless, his role and impact still shat all over Pearce's (IMO).

I'm a Qlder but I hope we get flogged in the first 2 origins, and that Thurston, Cronk, Morgan and Milford (if picked) all have absolute shockers. So they have no choice but to pick Cherry and Qld win 49-10 in the dead rubber with Cherry scoring 2 tries (one a chip and chase), setting up 5, kicks five 40-20's, makes 45 tackles and kicks a field goal to round it off. He gets the Man of the Match award presented by f###wit Tallis, which Cherry belts over his head and then he does a 10 out 10 backflip off the podium. The Qld crowd then stands and applauds and all those Broncos supporters who bood Cherry as if he had signed with them and not the Titans, all jump off the top tier of Suncorp like the bunch of salary cap cheating lemmings they are. DCE then replicates the backflip off the podium after we win the 2017 premiership.

And yes DCE would make the Blues team.

Yeh well we're half way there. Awesome game tonight by the Blues and yes Milford just like Cherry got, it's all your fault!!!!

Don't worry those of us Qlder's who love the Sea Eagles wouldn't do that. Just those Broncos supporters who will somehow still blame refs for tonight's loss, and Tallis who will probably blame DCE still because if he hadn't backflipped on the Titans and been a man of his word, then he would've played tonight and they still would've lost and he could've been blamed once again.

on nrl.com Hayne got 9.. nine. wtf he didn't do **** oh he scored a try big deal Graham set him up he literally ran straight and then the egotistical gronk jumps on the fence like he's king **** when he shouldn't of been there in the 1st place lol these clowns and there bs ratings at least they gave Pearce a 6.5 which he deserved
