I think you nailed it .... I am expecting a run of pessimism votes when all the DEssie fans that said they are moving to QLD return for the first trial ....

I can see the pulse going up and down like a yoyo when the season starts ...

Manly has 3 current origin players and only 1 player has won a premiership in this squad back in 2011. Also, the highest paid player is injury prone and the coach has a dubious track record.

The circus has been in full swing at Manly for a decade. Like with any unsuccessful business the garbage starts at the top and rolls down the hill. When you cant buy match winners or a good coach because someone enjoys living off an oily rag you got buckley's chance against the heavy weights of the comp.

It is unfortunate that our best player (one of the top five players in the NRL) is injury prone. Hopefully, his fortunes will change this year.

Seibold has a good, although mixed, NRL coaching record - 2018 Souths 3rd; 2019 Broncos 8th; 2020 Broncos last (left mid season).

Indeed, we have only one premiership winner & three origin players in our squad. These are my (hopefully accurate*) stats for all teams - first number is premiership winners, second is origin representatives (past & present)

Bet that you will just play hard to get but you can 't always rely on that alluring beard . Worst case scenario you could at the very least convert her into a Manly supporter if she already is not one . [ just joking ]
