Talau is a centre every day of the week, not quite quick enough for a winger, id like to see his size and physicality in our three quarters, he should be the first centre picked, another thing I’ve noticed, he and Lehi seem to work well, so would be good to see Lehi and Talau on the same side, sort the rest out, Garrick, Tolu?

Here’s hopping Turbo has a great year at 1, if not, would our side look better with Lehi at 1, The 2 TT’s in our three quarter line, choose your wingers on form, Tolu, Saab and or Ruebs. Ruebs was a a quality winger and should never have moved, some players are best off where they belong. Saab can be cat at times and lacks the confidence and aggression to be a complete player, also feel pretty confident saying he just doesn’t see the game, his very lucky his quick and Tolu is wasted in the centres, he gets no quality ball, little space, lacks creativity with the ball, he has a good set and lacks no courage, thing is he plays the game away from his strengths, thinks his a battering ram, give space and time and encourage him to run around defenders, not straight into them, he may be better on the wing or even FB, however that wont be at our club.

A strong coach should get good value out of our backline talent, very interested to see what Seibs does and how long he sticks things out if we don’t start well. Even if we start well, we could well strengthen our backline, pending who and how it’s configured.

The biggest issue that I have with Garrick is that he's an above average winger and a below average centre and yet we are persisting with this insanity, weakening two positions in the process.

I think Talau could becone a very good edge backrower, not this season though in a full time capacity.

I'd happily carry him as a 14 to cover 1-7 with also the opportunity to throw him on the edge for 10-15 as needed.

If he wants to do it, then it makes sense to try.

But if he doesn't, then he'd be within his rights to ask for a release to a club that will play him in his preferred position, which I imagine would attract a higher salary ceiling than that of a utility player.
