NZ Warriors coach, Brown, fired. (June 2022)

This has been brewing for a couple of weeks with Rothfield talking about it

His daughters are nearing the end of high school, and it’s a different proposition moving them to NZ when he signed, to the situation where he would uproot his family at a crucial time and potentially be sacked 4-5 weeks in as the management at the club are so unstable
I think Brown’s call is completely understandable for that reason.

Being an NRL coach is a pretty brutal industry … if I was ciraldo, I’d be quite happy to take the assistant’s pay cheque until I was certain I was taking over a strong roster.

From my trusted source.

It was General Manager of Football Craig Hodges who had to sack him. It was personally very hard for Hodges as he and Browny have been mates since they were 9yrs old. Hodges is a good man. I hope the Warriors keep him on and bring in Kristian Woolf as the new coach.
The bit about Kristian Woolf was just my thoughts. The rest was verbatim from my daughters source.
Also agree with @Kiwi Eagle about the owner Mark Robinson. That alpha male shiit was very weird.

Feel sorry for Warriors fans and Brown the roster is rubbish. If I'm the nrl I would be concerned as the same guru (peter o'sullivan) who put together that roster is doing the Dolphins roster and so far it is looking as thin in quality as warriors roster.

Lyall Gorman tried to sign him for us but he knocked us back before joining the warriors. We dodged a bullet imo.

If the Tuggers are looking for a Dream Team to coach them next season, what about Barrett with Brown his deputy?
That's a coaching team made in heaven.
Barrett could use an assistant who would slap him when he says something stupid.

Brown has retired (from being a head nrl coach).

Nathan Brown has called time on his head coaching career after 20 years and five different clubs.

He revealed the news to Nine's Danny Weidler via a Zoom interview, hours after quitting his post as coach of the Warriors.

"Obviously my coaching has come to an end. I've been coaching for 20 years now and this was always going to be my last job," Brown said.
