Warriors coach Nathan Brown has reportedly coached his last game after informing the club he cannot commit to living in New Zealand long-term.

The Sydney Morning Herald reported on Monday night that Brown told Warriors higher-ups he is not willing to move to New Zealand permanently due to personal reasons.

News Corp has since revealed Brown will join club owner Mark Robinson and CEO Cameron George in an “emergency meeting” at 9am on Tuesday in Redcliffe — where the team is currently based.

Nathan Brown’s time as Warriors coach appears to be approaching its final phase after the coach informed the club that he could not commit to a long-term relocation to Auckland.

A meeting has been scheduled for Tuesday morning which is likely to decide the immediate future of the coach.

The Herald understands that Brown could have potentially coached his last game, with former club legend Stacey Jones earmarked as a potential caretaker coach for the rest of the year if the Warriors decide to terminate Brown’s contract at Tuesday’s meeting.

Love Stacey, one of my favourite non Manly players, hope he does well.

That said feel like the Warriors need a experienced hard head like Flanagan

They have to throw the bank at him. They need a hard nosed coach there, Toovey’s attitude would even be perfect. But they told him he had the job once then gave it to someone else the next day …

Whoever it is, good luck to them, the club is in dire straights from top to bottom and this new owner has trouble written all over him, in the papers last week referring to himself as an alpha male haha. The CEO is a laughing stock too and the playing roster is in a terrible state too

I'm not at all surprised. I watched Brown's presser on Saturday night and he looked/sounded defeated, down and out. I thought well he won't be around for much longer...

WTF when he signed on didn’t he.think he would move to NZ?
Its not the move.

Basically this was a way to get out whilst not forgoing a full payout.

You resign, you get nothing.

You say you will see out your contract till the end of 2023 but wont move to NZ long term, you force the clubs hand in moving you on and paying you out at least to some extent

Basically he made his position untenable whilst keeping himseld contractually protected. Not unlike Barrett with us

This has been brewing for a couple of weeks with Rothfield talking about it

His daughters are nearing the end of high school, and it’s a different proposition moving them to NZ when he signed, to the situation where he would uproot his family at a crucial time and potentially be sacked 4-5 weeks in as the management at the club are so unstable

You would be on the money for mine, can’t be in a real good place himself, doubt he gets another opportunity, after his stints at StMerge, Newcastle and the Warriors his had the life sucked out of him, don’t know whether to feel sorry for him or not.
