Our colours being lowered again, this is heartbreakingLooking as competitive as ever.
Only down 26-0 with 20 to go.
I decided to google this. It appears David O’Donnell was pathways and women’s manager last year, but I don’t see him anywhere this year. His role may have been absorbed into the role held by Peter Gentle - Head of Football Operations and Recruitment. All these players named above are products of our so called pathways system. Nothing but a trail of mediocrity. Setup by the Fulton's a decade ago. What has it yielded. Duck egg. This club better go and find another Gus Gould that can develop a winning pathways system otherwise,we'll be consigned to the also run club for years more. In fact who is in charge of our pathways.
Ola was a complete fluke. Was just a travelling companion for shuster - someone saw him sitting in the car watching training and said you may as well get out and have a run around. Complete blind luck, nothing whatever to do with smart recruiting, scouting etc.Arguably our only product was Haumole Olakau'atu... By chance too, because he was in Parramatta's system originally.
How embarrassing. Everyone else came through locally (Hopoate, B Trbojevic, etc)
Manase no?Ola was a complete fluke. Was just a travelling companion for shuster - someone saw him sitting in the car watching training and said you may as well get out and have a run around. Complete blind luck, nothing whatever to do with smart recruiting, scouting etc.
Could have been. One of the Westie lads.Manase no?
Wow, pathways are yielding expected results. What a sh*t show club.
Really? - we are so slow we lose players to other clubs. We are guilty of impatience when it comes to blooding players, it takes a month of Sundays for changes to be made for underperforming players and we lose so many quality juniors due to lack of opportunity.
Penrith and the filth dogs are benefitting from a strong pathways program, they are not only strong in their minor grades, their first teams are very strong. I know Penrith have started slow this season and are off the pace, they are the sort of team that can go on a run and still be a major threat.
Our club tolerates a losing culture especially over the last decade. The only success is our Holden Cup team from 17, nothing major success wise after that win.
Late comebackWe scored. We are only down 36 - 6 with 5 mins to go.
