NSW Cup 2025

AI Overview

A football coach is accountable for the culture of their team. A coach's leadership style and approach significantly impact the team's culture, which in turn affects performance, morale, and player well-being.

Here's why:
  • Coaches set the tone:
Coaches influence the team's culture through their actions, words, and expectations. If a coach emphasizes accountability, teamwork, and respect, these values are likely to be adopted by the team.

  • Culture impacts performance:
A positive culture can foster a strong team identity, improve communication, and boost morale, all of which can lead to better performance.

  • Coaches shape player behavior:
Coaches can influence how players interact with each other, approach challenges, and respond to setbacks.

  • Coaches can create a positive environment:
By creating a positive and supportive environment, coaches can help players feel valued and respected, which can improve their performance and well-being.
In short, a coach's actions and leadership style have a significant impact on the team's culture, and therefore, they are accountable for creating a positive and productive environment.

I see that our high achievements in minor grades have extended to the women's competitions. Didn't win a single game in either the Tarsha Gale, dead last or Lisa Fiola cup, 2nd last competitions.
Men's not much better
Harold Mathews bundled out of finals first week.
SG Ball 2nd last too. Yes our pathways are really shining bright.

I never got this all in local junior focus. We aren't Penrith or Parra areas. If locals are good enough, they will make it. I sat through 10 year of local juniors stuff many years ago when I used to go to junior rep matches and it was a nightmare. Skinny white blonde hair kids being thrown around ragged.

Schoupp looks to be in some trouble, haven’t seen it yet but this is from the match report.

10 minutes into the second half, the Manly Sea Eagles were left with a 12 men as centre Aaron Schoupp was dramatically sent from the field. A spear tackle on Raiders Michael Asomua saw the referee Chis Sutton send him off without hesitation leaving the threatening looking Raiders side with a short defensive line to attack against

With our first grade in a big slump, you look at who can help them get out of this deep hole they are in?

Our reserves and Flegg teams have both been wiped out 2 weeks in a row for the reserves and now 3 for the Flegg side.

It is a measure that the health of our playing roster is really bad and that there needs to be an overhaul of the roster.

We all saw over the summer the series, "The Manly Way" its filled you with optimism for the upcoming season and now it looks like fools gold.

The standard needs to lift and quickly. Our minor grades getting smashed every week is a horror to watch!

To be fair....even the rebuild guru Gus has stated on more than one occasion that results mean nothing in the lower grades and it is all about player development

Now if we are smart enough then that makes sense....if
