The NRL's strongest man is one of the heroes of the AE site - Minogue!!!

He's is bench pressing up to 200kg which is 20kg more than anyone else in the NRL. It's good of Zorba to make himself available for that test.

Donald is the 5th fastest in the NRL over 40metres with Rhys Wesser the fastest. A Panthers trainer is quoted as saying that Hicks wouldn't get close to Wesser over a flat 100 metre race - speculating that Rhys could do it in as little as 10.25 sec.

Our best beep tester was Monaghan. However, his 14 was a long way behind the best which was Kurt Gidley with 15.5. I hope that's not an indicator of our general fitness levels being sacrificed for bulk aka Paramatta last year.

Judging on last weeks events though, you'd expect Gidley to go well in a beep test wouldn't you.

I would look at the other results fromt he knights before seeing how much we are behind on fitness. Gidley could very will be a des hasler and streak ahead of everyone.

Good to see kyle putting it in. He is a tank and I can't wait too see some of the hit he puts on this season. Toward the end of the last he was really causing some damage.

In the paper today. Beep tests and foot speed are nice but the best teams are those that can defend. Fitness helps there as most teams concede points when they are tired!
