NRL360 last night

I know a lot here hate Paul Kent.....personally I like him, he has his opinion and he sticks to it without outside influence.
Sure he will ocassionally bag Manly but you want a media that will bag as when we deserve it.

Now....did anyone catch his spray on the NRL and the whole Cleary scenario, haha he didn't miss. He certainly has no time for Toddy

It’s about time these gutless journos stood up to the NRL like Kent has. It was good to hear Gould blow up about the referreeing in the Warriors game. You wouldn’t see marshmallows like Hooper or The Roth have a real crack. If all Journos made the NRL accountable things would change quickly.

That might be the biggest spray I’ve seen Kent give and 100% warranted. It seems every episode of 360 he gets angrier. Only earlier that night or the night before he was blowing a fuse over the Titans situation.

He pretty much summed up that most of all these issues and the way the game has allowed them to occur have stemmed from the current administration...ie since the Turdburger took over as CEO.

Haha yesssss I’ve long been a fan of the his work on 360. Was actually texting a mate to get him to watch because he came in so hot, knowing his work I knew it would be a good first half.

Ikin and Kent have a clear good cop bad cop thing going. You might not always agree with the bad cop but you need him. This week he’s given to it Buzz, the Titans, Cleary, the NRL... SOMEONE NEEDS TO BE SACKED!!!

I’m with you... can’t stand the way he pauses with his hands up near his mouth with a serious expression just prior to his nightly rant. He flips and flops from one week to the next as well.

Paul Kent lost me last week when he had a go at Peter Sterling in the paper, including mocking his physical appearance. Sterlo had the temerity to disagree with PK's views on Freddy and his luck with Origin. It was such an emotive and personal attack that was just unwarranted.

PK, as far as I know, has never managed or led anything. I understand the role of journalists, but its easy to criticise from the cheap seats when you've never been accuountable for performance yourself. Each night he seems to get himself more worked up. Some of his points are valid, but other times its needlessly over the top. Maybe this is programming strategy at Foxtel - the good cop/ bad cop mentioned above. Ben Ikin, Brent Read, Buzz --- all present miles better without the hysteria.

That’s probably because Sterling was a champion Eels halfback and Kent managed to clock up one game more than me for the same club.

I think you’ll find Kent is given liberal license on this show by Foxtel to be outrageous ( remember all publicity for anything on TV is good publicity).

I’d even go so far to suggest much of it is contrived / scripted.

I expect that he has been given a licence to shake up the NRL by his employers. Greenburg and Beattie have been incredibility quiet since the Bulldogs and Titans have capitulated and Manly have come good again. They have been incredibility quiet during this diabolical period of refereeing which should be fixed by the NRL by pulling the referees into line and telling them what the correct interpretation of the rules are. But of course I forgot consistency is overrated. These guys are IMO the doctors of spin and the whole organisation needs a serious shake up. The NRL desperately needs real leadership brave enough to be transparent and accountable..
