I had a mate who was severly annoyed when games were off TV for when Princess Di died and then the Thredo disaster.  As long as the games are on another channel, ie Fox or GO or GEM then I can't see a problem.

why dont they just put all the games on HD one its is a sports channel after all..im sure they wont be broadcasting , & your right jethro, why cant Gem take it for that one off night.. now we will all be in the same boat as WAM  we get to see the nrl at 1am  lol..

Wasn't their a ruling recently that the FTA channel had to "use it or lost it" and if 9 does show the wedding instead of the league wouldn't they in breach of that?

I was thinking that way too,ant.All the "hoopla" about keeping the best games on free to air,and now it looks like some bloke,marrying some chick,is more important than the NRL.You can bet the No Real Leadership,Fuxx,and Channel no 9 are working out now which games to play on that friday night,so as to pump up their ratings on sat/sun/mon.
