NRL Games [Round 6, 2025]

Panthers will likely need to go 15-3 from here on if they want to make the four.

This could very well be the end.

That said, in 2021, they won the comp the long way around, they lost the QF against the Rabbitohs, and then won the SF, PF and GF.

Panthers went from $81 to finish last to $41 after last night's loss.

What I found interesting was in the pre game chat with Ivan and Jake duke was when he asked about Blaize, Ivan made it pretty clear he didn't liked what he saw in his preseason and how he fit into their system, you could definitely tell why he hasn't been Ivans first pick at 6 just by the way he didn't seem too confident in him, also said similar things in the post match presser. It's interesting because on a lot of social media posts, people have been hammering the comments to get rid of Cole at 6 and put Blaize and then I checked the comments last night and everyone is either backtracking or talking about letting go of Luai. I'm a bit surprised because watching Blaize last year, I thought the riff system would bring out the best of him and he would pair well with Cleary. I do think people need to give it some time and let the combinations grow, even though you just expect everything to click for Penrith like it normally always does. I also would like to agree and say that call about Edwards being "tackled" was plain stupid, another thing was brandy at half time saying alamoti was hard done by with the sin bin from the high shot and there was nothing wrong with it was laughable at how he couldn't even mask his bias.

Might be the same problem Manly have?

3-4 players taking 50% of the cap and barely a first grader amongst the rest.

I hope they aren't using the Manly model, for their sakes.
They've certainly taken our defensive model. Their defence out wide is atrocious. They've lost control of the ruck. As a result, they look like we do: always on the back foot, always hanging on for dear life.

Finding it hard to be upset about the Riff's demise.
Yes I find if I grit my teeth I can hold back the tears!

I think they will still make a run at it. They are only 2 wins out of the 8. Though it is enjoyable watching them run around like headless chooks on the field with confused looks on their faces trying to work out why it has all gone to ****. They were getting a bit too smug.
