Non-Manly Games [Round 6, 2017]

In relation to Newcastle's Sione Mata’utia's try.......

From NRL Rules.....

Grounding

Grounding the Ball includes:

a. Placing the ball on the ground with hand or hands, wrist or forearm

b. Exerting a downward pressure on the ball in contact with the ground

c. Dropping on the ball and covering it with the front part of the body above the waist and below the neck.

I thought he may have drawn the ball to his body and then exerted a downward pressure without separation as per b. I just didn't see the separation that the officials did.

Agree he pulled it into his body and grounded it. Stupid ruling, Robbed

You know, considering that all told Penrith had as many as 9 regular first graders missing last night, if I were a Souffs fan, and than God I'm not, I wouldn't be happy that it took them until 30 seconds to go before they won that game. And despite being all smiles in his post match interview with Fittler, I doubt Maguire would really be all that happy with it either.

Souffs are a mid-table team at best. Penrith on the other hand may well regret last night when it comes to later in the season. That was definitely 2 points gone begging. If only.....

well the wrist slitters can sit back and say at least we are not the cows. Lost to our useless rabble and the tigpies.

Spoon favourites?

I might be odd but I take no joy from JTs injury.
Being someone who doesn't give a f*ck about origin* I know I haven't got long to see this champion in action.
Hope he's back soon.
Once in a lifetime player.
* I'll still whinge about him in origin.

Foran making a big difference with the Warriors, as he did when he first moved to parra. He is such a good organiser on the field, screaming at his players to get into position for the next play, running from the left to run a play, then back to the right to run another play, then leading the chase on the kicks. Green is ok, but he is no Foran, wish he was committed again like this back at manly.
