I believe the quality of tackling in RL these days is poor and getting worse. It has all to do with standing upright and grabbing, trying to dance the ball carrier to the ground. It's no surprise that there are so many head clashes and facial cuts. Very rarely do defenders use their shoulder and drive the attacker backwards, or wrap their arms around their ball carriers thighs and let momentum topple him over. The Gummies tonight missed so many tackles trying to arm-grab.
Tackling used to be a real skill. Now it's all about getting in front of the ball carrier and trying to hold him up.
Beaver must be disappointed to see how far the standard of tackling has fallen since he retired.

Until the NRL reward good legs tackles, expect to see more of the same.

13 year old kids are being taught wrestling techniques in the Roosters development squads. Not how to tackle.

It is a minor miracle Jake has made it all the way to the top imo. He must have had some excellent and foward thinking coaches as he was coming through.

I had a feeling that the knights might get up. they have been playing pretty good and Parra (this years biggest pretenders getting every leg-up the nrl can throw at them) has a couple of injuries.

I believe we win by 0.5 and we overtake them ****ers. We win by 13+ we overtake the sharks into 4th place some results have really fallen our way, finishing in the top 4 would be huge

He should be sent to the bin and a penalty buy no bs penalty try. This nrl continues to be the biggest joke of the sporting world. same thing happened in the 2013 gf rort. losing a player against the best opposition is way way worse than a penalty
