Seriously, if we can't beat the Dogs next week we don't deserve to be in the top 8.

Souffs have nothing (Reynolds' kicking game has gone to $hit), and the Dogs are struggling to keep up with them.

The top 8 is getting small by that logic.

The cowboys are out because they didn't beat the tigers and the same line was rolled out as well as the titans, Brisbane are out after their loss to the dogs, Raiders cannot take the bongos place nor can the dragons, rabbods, worriers or knights and dogs lost to the tigpies, So the 8 only has 7 teams 7 and tigpies are in, currently in last place.

Why is it that, whenever i watch the Broncos i constantly have to ask what was that penalty for? Lol, they get the softest penalties

This is the weakest comp since super league.
Parra fighting for top 4
Cowboys top 8 without JT/Scott
Panthers top 8 and they have been s**t all year
Manly fighting for top 4 even with big money tied up in Matai/Stewart/Myles.
Even the Broncos and Roosters aren't as consistent as usual top 4 contenders.
Sharks have looked very shaky at times.
If Storm fall over any team could jag the title this year with a bit of luck and form.


I don't understand why? The NRL isn't losing top players to English super league/Rugby Union. It's even been a while since the AFL poached a player.
Is it the fact that no real reserve grade is finally catching up or is it the coaching/ playing style at the moment.
Are the refs affecting the quality of the games

There are some amazing players in this generation but the overall quality of the games are pretty rubbish

I think you might have hit the nail on the head. No real reserve grade to speak of and most coming through are from the U/20's which since it started had been like the Super League in that it places much more emphasis on attack while neglecting defence.

At a guess I would say at least 50-60% of the U/20's graduates are crap defenders. Oh there are some who can tackle like Jake Trbojevic, but most of the kids the media tout as the next "superstars" think defence is what separates the front yard from the footpath. They can attack the live long day, but tackling.....

Surely you've heard the phrase " Penalty Broncos", yep they get plenty, and everything else goes their way too, how about 3 of your last four games all at home and every game in the last month in QLD where you are adored!

And don't start me on guaranteed 7 night turnarounds and FTA every game!
