Why do we have such an impotent position as touch judges in our game? I just don't get why we bother. Is it just to maintain tradition and ceremony?

We could really improve some aspects of our game if they were not just timid wall flowers, but actually empowered to do very limited specific things and focus on doing them well. They really are not much more than referee cheer squad biatches.

I dare say if Cronk was playing....Melbourne would have put Cronulla away by now. But, Maloney's field goal has put the Sharks in front.

And now Kafusi scores......and if Qld don't pick Slater for Game 2 they deserve to lose just on stupidity.

“Referee Smith did a good job,” Flanagan said. “I watched him closely today. He manages a game perfectly......

I wonder if they'll threaten a 10k fine, or just understand flanno was telling the truth?

While there has been a lot of debate about whether Gutherson should stay in the halves ahead of Mitchell Moses, or move to fullback to force Bevan French to the wing, Arthur told The Daily Telegraph his original plan after signing Gutherson from Manly was always to make him an NRL centre.

“When we originally got Clint Gutherson to the club it was to play him at centre.

(and not fullback as silvertails keeps saying.) - arthur said *allegedly*

It was always his dream to be pushed to centre after playing well at 6.
