The customer on the other hand are about the event. The drinks, the night out and not much more. They care about the result fleetingly but are in it to be seen rather than to be part of a community. They are blind or oblivious to the every day runnings and manipulations that is the National Rugby League. They care not for the rules, the subtle nuiances of the sport , just the event. The most ardent fan will struggle with the rules as they have been bent, shaped, changed so many times for the good of the spectacle apparently, but all it does is add confusion to influenec outcomes, and to justify variances to multiple to name. So for the fans please renew your foxtel subscription, watch the big games on 9 and leave the running of the event circus to the professionals. They dont want your help, your passion, but most of all they dont need your scrutiny.
