no excuses

agreed wheel. But i think reasonably we need top 4 to make it to week 2 of the finals.

We need to be top 2 to be guaranteed.3 and/or 4 can possibly go in the 1st week of the finals if results go bad for them.

Yep with Matai back its back to NYC for Whare for a little while.

Why not move him to the wing, and have Trex play off the bench, Impact late in the game is something we could do with, and with Rose and Trex on the bench we would have it, especially when Rose gets a bit trim./

I don't understand what "impact" T-Rex is going to offer from the bench. Everyone seems to think that he is going to be some miracle worker in the forwards. The guy hardly splits the line or uses his bulk at pace against backs, what makes you think if we throw a 16 or 17 on his back he will suddenly be tearing through the middle of opposition forward packs ?? If he played like similar sized guys in Tuaki and Vatuvei then I could understand the reasoning, but he is hardly a human wrecking ball at the moment. The other thing to consider is the effect of him having to do a whole heap more defensive work, he won't be knocking up 4 or 5 tackles a game, it'll be more like 20, that'll take the edge off any "impact".

You watch the world cup? He was amazing in the backrow.

Big step up in class of opposition from Scotland and Ireland to the NRL. I haven't seen much of this "amazingness" on show to date, save for one or two decent runs. Not saying it won't work, but he's hardly presenting a solid case to say it's a given.

The reason he looks so ordinary is that he is not an 80 minute player, he runs hard while he is fresh and then he looks distracted, bored even lethargic.

If he is only on for 20 - 30 minutes a half he would be a lot better.
