We should give Hynes, Parker, Ramien, Knight and Fonua-Blake the opportunity to grow, rather than buying individuals to fill gaps. We are in the current predicament due to master NSW selector Fulton thinking we needed an overhaul. So he brought in players that as a majority, had limited to no success. He then worked in conjunction with clueless Barrett to release our 2 best young backs. Along with an even worse coaching staff to compliment that disgusting slob zorba peters, we are poor in all 3 senior grades. Unless we are going to bring in a proven high quality few, it is better for stand up guys like Buhrer and Trbojevic Snr to help develop the rookies. Perhaps Cherry-Evans can give back for a change too?

The coaching is pathetic agreed, but they are a mass change. Also, which of the new players has met expectation? Perhaps Parcell?1 from 7 or 8...poor.

We are struggling from both. Too much change at once hoping for a quick fix.
Whoever we buy, buy young. Try and build A culture.
Not sure in the current setup it can be a Manly culture though.

Agree with Pjayz, Bowen and Gillett is the only two id make a big play for for 2017.

Alternatively buy some young kids on the cheap and take a punt on them we did it with DCE in 2011 and look what happened.

Other than that id nearly be prepared for another season of Garbage then just buy anyone for the sake of it.. Wait till 2018 and buy quality.

We have to inquire about the Penrith halves at least. They have Moylan, Maire Martin, Cleary, and Cartwright all suited to the halves and that's without Soward and Wallace.

To sign....its almost the worst option of players in recent memory, just when we need them.
Apart from Gillett & Mansour, very limited pickings....almost a case of something like these 2 & a few quality rookies with potential.
Bowen or a Jennings for cheap could be worth it out wide & if that massive Solomona from Storm is any chance...the perfect signing at this time.
Apart from that...maybe have to pick up in 2018 to get a quality smorgasbord to choose from.

Well Manly should have learned from this year that impatiently building a team with the garbage available and falling for the charms of snake oil salesman like Gould it will result in a losing team. We are the second worst team in the competition - even the Roosters and Rabbits are now putting in strong performances.
We should stop going after the likes of journeymen like T.Williams and Blake Lively (pun), clean the place out, and go after the likes of Nathan Cleary or other promising juniors who have potential and buy in to the Manly system.
