A big thank you to Larissa and the team for organising the kids clinic at Brookie this afternoon.
My son (8) went along and had a great time. Most of the first grade players were there holding clinics with the kids and having a great time. A special mention must to to Big Georgie, Joe and Matt Cross who let the kids tackle them and were very good natured about the fact that the kids were not letting go until they went to ground! All the players then signed all the kids books or posters and then the kids had a sausage sandwich and drink.
Many of the parents I spoke to were very impressed that the players would take the time to do this with the kids and I am sure you made lifelong fans out of all that went. I even overheard a mother saying that they were not sure who was more excited about the day the kids or the fathers. Great idea to have it a Brookie.
