THE pain of watching from the stands as Melbourne swept to the 2009 premiership is a major driving force for new recruit Matt Cross to make a big impact with Manly next year.

How long is Matt signed for? He could take over from Perry maybe. But i hope all our forwards fire up next year, like making a shtload of metres!

Sounds like a decent bloke and 28 is a good age for a prop.
I'm happy the front row will have a bit more competition, hopefully it will sort the wheat from the chaff.

I would suggest Perry was great in 08 and took this last year off.

Time for him to reintroduce the hard nut prop this year & create some desire amongst the others.
