AS IF Dessie is going to give two rookies a shot in the 1/2's !! LoL. It's Dessie here guys. I fully expect Lyon / Foran in the halves (which is a very good pairing imo).

Even the rookies that head to other clubs suggest that Dessie doesn't like to "take a shot" if you will - but that was Stephenson and Neumann, so probably just pissing in the wind.

Lyon foran combo will lack the extra creativity. I reckon hodko should get the gig

Give them a go. If they haven't clicked by round 12 then they never will. Foran is the most experienced of the two and we are moving him out of his 5/8th position for Lyon (who is good there for mine) and putting him where Hodko shines. Lyon is one of the world's best centres. Maybe the game will become even faster and Foran would make the bench as a utility player, with Lyon and Hodko as starters. Interesting to see what Des does.

I don't think 2 guys who spent most of last yr alternating between 5/8 and center is the way to go for our halfs.hodkinson is a specialist 7,ide have lyon in 6,foran 3 to start then shift em when hoddos got some gametime under his belt.

Hodkinson was the half to win the Qld Cup last year so the question of experience seems to be moot.  Give him a go with Foran at 5/8th and Lyon outside them as Captain.  Des better pull the right string or else I'll be calling for his head on this one.  Putting up with the Ox last year was painful.
