Bloody hell this guy's pockets are deep. He had the midas touch with the coal mine so be interesting to see if it extends to the corporate sporting world. Hope he kept the number of those Chinese investors

From wiki "In 2008 he was BRW's Young Rich list, then worth about $441 million. In July 2010, Tinkler floated his company, Aston Resources with $400 million worth of shares offered leaving Tinkler with $600 million worth of the company".

In Sept he had an estimated wealth of $610M. I don't know whether his horse investments are a result of a loan but he has poured around $200M into it including horses, stud farms and training facilities. Probably the second biggest set-up after the one bought by Sheik Mohammad from the Inghams, with Singo coming third (and yes, I'm jealous). He has bought the Jets and half of the Ford V8 Supercar team, Dick Johnson Racing. Pouring millions into the Knights would be just petty change to him.

He needs to lose some weight though - he is heading for an early grave if he keeps it up.

Money can hide a multitude of physical shortcomings. Look at Jamie Packer, FFS how does someone that looks like him pull the sorts he has if he wasn't dripping in money ?
