It states that he has a hefty loan on his $3m Clovelly house - not a $3m loan.  He wouldn't get a $3m loan on $400k income.  Probably a $2m loan.

Funny he might end of staying at the rorters as I cannot see anyone in the NRL being able to pay him $400k a year and I doubt that the rorters would pay part of his salary to play against them.

How could Mason get a $2Million loan?  Would he have had a million to put down?    If it's a $2M loan, I guess the repayments would be about 15K per month.  That's a lot of money.  If he lives in the place the taxpayer won't be paying any of it.  If he heads to Melbourne then you and I will be helping him pay it off.  That doesn't sound good.
