Manly have become the first Australian side in six years to clinch rugby league's World Club Challenge, emphatically snatching the title from Leeds.

There was plenty of spice in the 28-20 victory at Elland Road in front of 32,569 fans with brawls erupting during the match.

During a fiery first half Sea Eagles backrower Anthony Watmough smashed Leeds No.7 Rob Burrow, putting him out of the game while Manly's Josh Perry and Leeds enforcer Jamie Peacock traded blows and were both sent to the sin bin.
