I doubt that anything substantive will be delivered in court that would give the NRL grounds for extending the suspension. They took careful legal guidance on what they could put forward as reasons for his 4 weeks and I can't see how this could have changed. The decision by the board not to review the Watmough fine will also help.

Definitely April 7th which is next Tuesday. If Gallop extends his ban that's the biggest load of hypocritical BS I have ever heard. If the first court appearance is just a mention day then the NRL has absolutely no grounds to further Brett's suspension. If this happens (ban extension) the Manly club should take legal action against the NRL.
I confess I'm still obsessed with the Brett Stewart case as I believe he's a good kid who's been thrown to the wolves as an example.

if they do extend it then the entire thing will be taken to court and overturned within hours as it can then only be due to the charge, not the drinking and they have set precedent on the charge with lafranci
