Melbourne coach Craig Bellamy expects Manly five-eighth Jamie Lyon to play in their NRL qualifying final at Etihad Stadium on Friday night.
Lyon has not been named in the Manly side to play the Storm because of a shoulder injury which has sidelined him for the past three weeks.
But as the rumours persist that Lyon will defy the injury - and Manly gave no clues away after training behind locked doors at Etihad Stadium on Thursday - Bellamy said his side were ready for him to play.
"I'd expect him to play - it's a big game and Jamie's a big game player," Bellamy said.
"A couple of needles in his AC joint and he'll be fine. He gives them some real good experience."
Melbourne will have forward Adam Blair available after he successfully beat a "crusher" tackle charge at the NRL judiciary on Wednesday night.
But Storm prop Jeff Lima will be given a fitness test later on Thursday on his thumb injury.
