Unfortunately the council can't fix it because they simply don't have the money right now. they are also copping flack from a small minority hell bent on nothing happening to the oval as it owuld cost Rate payers who don't follow the NRL (i disagree but that's how it is).
We really need Federal funding, unfortunately being in a safe as houses liberal seat we will never see it...
It's not just brookvale oval as well look at the state of the hospitals on the Northern beaches.... Anyone believing that the new hospital at Frenches Forest will be built within the next 10 years is kidding them selves it's an empty promise to save spending on our current ones....
The more people who realised voting for the opposition in this safe area would actually do more good than voting liberals (even if you;re a die hard liberal supporter) by showing a swing to labor would see a lot of funding for plenty of projects thrown this way from both sides trying to buy votes.
It sux and is totally unfair that it comes down to the parties buying votes but that's how the game is played.
