I would prefer that he doesn't play this year.

From what I have heard if his knee goes again then that might be the end of his career as you can't play NRL with bone on bone in a knee

I certainly wouldn't want to rush him back, but the thought of him showing up to play in Melbourne this weekend certainly would have me pumped.

You & Jason seem to do Bone on Bone pretty well KF?

Yes Jason is very bony.

I much prefer my bloated steriod injected parrot down in struggle street.  Errgghhhh such a fine young man.

Thats the thing, If he was fit for the storm game would you start him, and robbo back to the wing or ease him into the game?

My gut feel is that he will return for the sharks game at brookie

Pittwater Legend

We brought back Geoff Toovey!
We should only bring him back if he is fully recovered.

It took a while for Robbo to adapt to fullback but he is very adequate in that role now. I just hope our wingers find form.

Robbo's fullback defensive positional play is dubious.  Once again on the weekend a long break was made, but Robbo tried tackling Shaun Kenny-Dowall almost on the tryline. He missed the tackle, but even if he had made the tackle a try was guaranteed from that position. Does anyone talk to him about his defensive positional play?

Maybe you are just the man for the job Rex, being a hero to the downtrodden and oppressed I am sure he would wait with bated breath upon your every utterance.

I have to agree,

But he is doing the best job he can there, of all the players who are under performing he is one of the few who has a valid excuse, he is a great clubman

Robbo is solid, without being spectacular

My only real criticism of him at FB is that when a break is made, he doesn't come forward to meet the attacker, waiting is making it impossible

The point the commentators made about risky Stewart on a dewy Melbourne track was a reasonable one

Save him for a sunny sunday afternoon at Brookvale, against the Sharks, and he could come back in true hero fashion scoring 5 the way the Sharks went yesterday

Not sure if it has been mentioned previously, but I noticed Robbo was back at wing towards the end of the Roosters' game (in fact he was there when he scored his 2nd try) and Farrar had shifted to fullback...

Could there be any significance to that? Getting him used to playing on the wing again???

If Robbo was a specialist fullback, and it were his natural position, and no-one had ever heard of Brett Stewart, we'd all be calling for Robbo's head. He makes a great winger for a current fullback.

Benefit of hindsight I'd have put Lyon at full-back from Round 8 or whenever it was Stewart went down.

Originally I was an advocate of putting Bani at fullback. In retrospect though I would simply warn Snake not to make that play where he hurt his leg.

Trouble being at that time, Lyon was killing it in the centres, and we didn't have Farrar in the squad to play centre

I was in the Wolfman camp at the time, the way his form has been since that would have been a disaster
