haha I haven't heard the term 'arsenal' used in conection with Manly since Des famously commented on Michael Monaghan's matchwinning chip and regather:

"Most halfbacks have got a good kicking game and have got the chip and chase in their arsenal and Michael really pulled it out of his arse...enal," said Hasler with a wry smile

Shouldn't they be "lifting" their game everyweek anyway...

These are 'feel good' stories that every club could write every week. Parra has a pact to lift for Hindy; Titans have a pact not to win the spoon; 'Riff have a pact to make the eight... it applies to other sport,
Aussie opens have a pact to blunt the new ball bowlers; Aussie cyclist have a pact to protect Evans in his quest for glory etc.

It extends to politics: Labor has a pact to do it for Julia; Oakshot and Windsor firm on their pact . . .

No harm done with the Manly story. The journo has filled some space and everyone is happy. But it is just spin.
