News: Bulldogs fire sale over, Cronk to Roosters

Has this 'officially' become a game of thrones thread?

A countdown to Mark's 20,000th thread?

that was ollena tyrells best line by far.

For the youngsters out there, Ollena (Diana Rigg) was hotter than hot back in the day.

Problem being that some of us grew up with Manly as the Silvertails so nowadays its hard to cop being the Fibros. Lesson in humility perhaps but who needs that!
The aim should be to have the finances and backing to "cheat" the cap as much as possible once again but do it in a continued tight, efficient, "legal" manner to generate some profit.(keep the tight mindset we have now(relative to income) but generate more revenue to play with)

But if Manly don't want to "cheat" you need to employ the services of so called keyboard coach experts and pay overs in doing so.

If we are the so-called honest team of the last 20 years, then why is our club under a salary cap investigation announced in July? The longer this goes on without a hint from the NRL of an outcome, the more of a scandal this will be, especially if this is a giant red herring!!!
I thought "Wiki" is never wrong?

The thing that hasn't changed is that we are still a superior club, even to the 'silvertails' of today.

No wooden spoons to date, and only two seasons of rebuilding sees us back rising to the top

Good to see you learning young Potter.

So, we may also be losing Darcy Lussick, Jackson Hastings, Lewis Brown on top of Jarrad Kennedy, Peta Godinet, Brett Stewart, Billy Bainbridge, Steve Matai, Nate Myles & Brenton Lawrence, but have signed:

Toafofoa Sipley and Jack Gosiewski for Blacktown?

Am I getting this right?
To me i think there will only be targeted spending to add depth in the power, size and speed areas --- unless we let go of another player.

Signing Jorge for only two not three years seems like it is more a loyalty backed decision with no intention to extend beyond, also leaving back ended room in a few years for other players.

Too many extensions and upgrades on the cards, hopefully Manly were able to squeeze in a higher percentage of Uate's total contract package in 2017 but i doubt it given the Stewart, Matai dilemma.

The longer this goes the more likely Cooper will announce his retirement after the World Cup.

Which is logical I reckon, never to play against his old team mates.

Well if it is taking so long it must mean Manly have good salary cap management procedures without the use of two contracts lol.

Tough one, the challenge of bringing another club to a GF removed from the big three or four scenario would be a nice challenge to keep him motivated while dipping his toes more in the media being in Sydney.

The longer it goes the more i think he is weighing up playing on.
