New Zealand vs Australia - 4 Nations

A good start by the Aussies. 4-0 after a Ferguson try. Thurston missed the conversion.

Can someone please explain how Thaiday kept his spot in this team? Should have been dropped for either Frizell or Jake IMO.

As I type, Thurston scores a soft try and converts it. 10-0 Australia.

The Kiwis right now seemingly have nothing.

Shaun Johnson<Daly Cherry Evans. Johnson has got to be the most overrated player of all time, he's done nothing since 2011.

True, well not much anyway. After the Perth test match, in which he was totally outplayed, he comes out supporting Foran being approved for the NRL, instead of getting his own game back in order for Four Nations - go figure...

A minor detail I know but Thurston's jersey's torn in the first 15 minutes, then Thaiday's was badly torn. For a Four Nations game, I would've thought a country's jerseys are of a better quality than that. Not a good look!

I can understand why he would support Foran. They've been successful for the Kiwis in the past and (IMO) for the Warriors the Foran/Johnson partnership could be every bit as good as Foran/DCE was for Manly. As Manly fans we should all know what a fit and motivated to win Kieran Foran can do. He has a knack for bringing out the best in his team mates.

Well if he creates another try in the last two minutes?!

They have been using Natalie Imbruglia's company

A few observations from the game. NZs much vaunted pack was really meant to test us but they were clearly outgunned by our boys today. Our big men - Klemmer especially seemed to make yards at will and even at point of contact our boys used leg drive to eek out a few more metres. NZ really struggled to get out of their quarter on kick returns and they really miss Manu back their with his legendary charges too I thought. Couple that with poor old Shaun being solely responsible for any spark in attack + burdened with all the general kicking and NZ have no hope in hell of beating us atm
